Mint Green - a perfect color to add a fresh, calm and rested vibe to the outfit. Yet, it's not all that easy to wear - mint green as any pastel color can wash you out a bit. That's why mint green goes oh so well with a bit of a warmer color - in this case, opt for a light wash of coral.

Keep the intensity of the coral on the same level as your mind green. The darker the green, the brighter the coral. The more pastel and minty is your green piecen, the more delicate and washed out the coral.

Perfect for that early spring days. Try it.

Match clothes: hot pink + neutrals

Youthful, vibrant, fun - there is nothing about hot pink that does not make it the perfect color to play with. It matches beautifully with tanned skin, and rich complexions.

So what to wear with it? As most bold colors, hot pink and magenta will go well with neutral, nude and tanned colors. They are a match made in HEAVEN! You can either go for neutral colored accessories or a full nude-colored piece.

It's fun. It's fresh. It's classy. Try it.

Wear it - Black on Black OOTD

Black is sophisticated. Black optically slims you down. Makes you look a bit goth? Oh well, why not bring out your "dark side" and show the world a mysterious and sophisticated side of you.

When opting for black-on-black coordinates, there is just one thing to be mindful: textures. Mix leather, lace, matte, sequins, transparent... Just layer and mix, but avoid wearing everything in one texture. Too much of one thing is never a good thing, and overly simplified textures can make you look chunky and sad, rather than sexy mysterious.

Stick to silver accessories if you aim for the sleek sophisticated feel. Warm gold tones will make your outfit look more festive.

Do you wear this style? What textures do you like to mix?

How to wear red - wear with nudes!

Red is a statement color, and sometimes it's not easy to wear it casually - it's just so eye catching. But it works just perfect if you match it with nude tones - anything from beige to to eggshell-white will balance of the red beautifully.

Check out some examples:
Orange-red pants, with beige blouse and brown-tanned bag. Simple, casual, yet with a POW!
Similar concept, but with black and gold mixed in. Don't shy away from wearing gold with red - those colors look good together, as long as there is some neutral elements in the outfit.

Perfect coordination for bold red pants - nude heels and warm tan color blouse, with a dark brown belt. Simple, yet eye-catching.

If you try out this combination, go for a pink lipstick! Red, nudes and pinks are located close to each other on the color wheel.

Would you try such color combination?

Hello world!

Some people just have talent for picking up perfect combinations - the colors in their outfits always look right, the lengths and proportions fit their body perfectly, and the layers look just oh-so-fab.

For me it's not that simple. I do not posses the talent to instantly recognize a great color combination, or a perfect coordination for clothing items.

But the good news is, that you don't have to relay on talent for this. Figuring out the right colors or combinations is something you can learn! There are some simple rules that you can follow (like matching colors using the color wheel approach), or you can draw inspiration from how others do it! :)

I've been collecting various photos of interesting outfits for a while now, so the plan is to put this here on this blog, for a quick reference for all you girls out there, who are like me :).

Let's get this blog started! :D
